My Findings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Meditation has been around for centuries; many people use it in one form or another. Some think mediation is just sitting with your legs crossed, doing nothing. At first, I kept getting distracted; I felt I was doing it wrong. <strong>But the truth is that my distractions were a blessing. <\/strong>Distractions allowed me to practice retrieving my focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I currently meditate every night for five minutes before I head to bed because it helps me relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally I started with <strong>ten minutes<\/strong> of daily mindfulness, but I soon tried a <strong>five-minute<\/strong> routine and found that it <strong>immensely <\/strong>helped me sleep compared to the ten minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typically I have two five-minute sessions every day <em>(morning\/night)<\/em>. I also suggest that you meditate outside. As breathing in the fresh air can help<strong> clear your mind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meditating has enhanced my <strong>memory<\/strong>,<strong> attention span<\/strong>, and <strong>self-awareness<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Studying Meditations Effect On Wellness:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A few high-quality studies have concluded the effects of meditation and mindfulness. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 2020 review examined 83 studies and found that 55 of those studies had reported <strong>negative experiences <\/strong>related to <strong>meditation practices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 2013 study also showed that all the practices had some effect, but when interviewed, those included gave<strong> poor results<\/strong> and had a high risk of bias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And at last, a 2018 review assessed the efficacy of several mindfulness-based approaches to <strong>substance use disorder treatment<\/strong> and found that they <strong>significantly lowered<\/strong> participants\u2019 craving levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advantages Of Meditation:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-images-1.medium.com\/max\/800\/1*7Ut-5Ps_PQMS9SwtFWZxxQ.png\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Image: Ruaschenberger<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We just reviewed some studies regarding the effects of meditation practices. But maybe it\u2019s not for everyone. I think this because some studies showed that participants didn\u2019t enjoy meditation, but some showed that they flourished under its benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So it would be best if you gave it a go.
